Chief Risk and Product Development Officer & Managing Principal
Moses Grader has over 25 years of investment industry experience. Mr. Grader is responsible for overseeing LHA’s risk management, analytics, reporting, and quantitative marketing content. He is also responsible for manager and strategy research, development, and product positioning. As an LHA Managing Principal, Moses also contributes to the strategy and day-to-day operations of the firm. Before helping co-found LHA, Moses was a member of the General Partner to several private equity and hedge fund partnerships. He was part of the team responsible for product development and structuring, investment analysis, manager selection, and manager oversight.
Prior to shifting to the alternative investment management industry in 2004, Moses was a Principal at Radius Capital Partners, LLC, a private equity merchant banking firm that he helped launch. In that capacity, he held senior roles in the incubation of new businesses and the structuring of consolidation transactions in the financial services, information technology, and telecommunications sectors. His earlier experience included working at Comdisco Ventures, where he structured debt investments in medical services and biotechnology companies, and at MassVentures, a seed-stage venture fund, where he led equity investments in the medical device and enterprise software markets. Moses was also a senior consultant at Price Waterhouse, where he was principal analyst on privatization/restructuring projects in Eastern Europe, Africa, and Latin America.
Mr. Grader has an MBA from Harvard Business School and an MA in International Economics from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. He served three years in the United States Marine Corps as an infantry officer, retiring with the rank of Captain.
