AI Primer and Video

In asset management and financial advisory services there is a tendency to attach the phrase “artificial intelligence” (AI) to any form of algorithmic or quantitative decision-making, oftentimes for marketing purposes or as a general catch-all term. The AI Primer and accompanying video from Little Harbor Research provide an overview of the history of AI from its nascent beginnings in the mid-1950s to present day, and also provide a practical description of AI in action. The video features some of the investment firms that currently use AI, and concludes that the use of this technology will continue to expand in both the financial advisory and asset management industries.
